hi there i have just got my Axial 28 spec 2s engine and i can't run it in i am trying to the idle method but havin no luck the engine somtimes starts but wont maintain idle it is chucking fuel out the pipe and revving hard and i can not get the idle down without stalling it out it set as per instructions with all needles flush but still wont play the game . If i lower idle speed it stalls and if i raise it by a fraction it engages the clutch and drives its self help me please :angry::angry:

Only the LSN should be flush. The HSN should be about 3 1/2 turns out from closed as a good starting point. I'm assuming the engine is new and you are attempting to do the break in.
If it's spewing a lot of fuel at idle, you'll need to lean the LSN by about 1/8 of a turn and allow it to run till it's up to temp. Keep an eye on running temperature and make sure you return the piston to bottom dead center during the cool down periods.

Look through THIS THREAD for some helpful information and break in procedures.

should i lean it ??? its reving hard even with the throttle trim set to minimum
and will not idle at low rpms i thought the LSN would need to be ritchened the tempretures at idle have been 120f and its got as hot as 195+ surley thats way too hot for an idleing engine it just revs hard and pulls all the time
i have to trim the throttle right up to start it then back it off to try to idle it but it always stalls its weird cos its running rich with fuel spitting from the tuned pipe (The pipe is an Edit Efra 2034 3 chamber pipe) but gets fairly hot and wont stop driving off . in my instruction sheet for the engine it says that all the adjusters are set to flush settings for break in from the factory the hsn has a line etched in the housing and has a collar that is supposed to sit flush with the line then the midrange needle sits flush with its fitting and it say DO NOT TOUCH in the manual and the lsn is the same the idle screw is set and i have a 3mm hole for the air it tells me specifically not to touch carb for break in its already set so i should be able to start the run in but no
