Hello all you Air pilots,
I've got a chance to make some chassis for a local shop owner....it's a older Heli that is no longer made from about 4 years ago and it's supposeldly "the best heli ever made"....blah blah blah....I have access to a water jet CnC machine and am researching materials....I have an original chassis for the heli out of aluminum...he wants Carbon Fiber....my question is what grade CF am I looking for? I know next to nothing about CF....I have hand cut pan chassis ffro oval racers like 14 years ago from sheets I bought at the LHS.....I'm also looking for suppliers and any info you guys have on CF and prep work (if any) needing to be done before the cuts are made......I'll get the model of the heli next time I see the guy if it helps at all.......it's just 2 plates that stand vertical on either side of the Heli...like a savage TVP set.....he's wanting to make about 100 - 200 sets to sell as well so I stand to make a littel side change from this.......thanks for any help guys
