After waiting a little over 3 weeks, the alloy trans arrived today.
It was priced right at $90, and the throttle linkage at $12, I think, but they sent me a special with the last parts shipment I got.
I got 15% off with FREE shipping, registered mail right to my door. Trans case and throttle linkage all for $84.

The stock trans already has reverse and a 3 speed, but now I'll also be adding the taller ratio 3rd gear.

Question:
I have the Team FastEddy bearing kit also. Does anyone know off hand if it includes the trans bearings?

ok #1 that title scared me, and 2 are you gonna drive it now????????

very nice looking rig rolex, is it all aluminum yet?

what shocks you recomend to replace the stockys

NOT Integy.
Mine haven't been tested yet. You'll have to wait for someone else to recommend what you need.
ALMOST finished. I'll be getting an alloy radio box cover machined for it next.

Purdy! Just one question? What do you need gears for? It's only going to go as fast as you can push it. Right? Take a chance at scratching all that pretty aluminum, yeah right!

You going to be running 2.4Ghz I hope? Even then, with an alloy radio cover you may see some decrease in overall radio range.

Who am I kidding, you'll never actually *run* it. :D

It has the 2.4 M11 in it already. I'm leaving the lower tub of the servo/radio tray stock, and only having the top cover done in alloy.

Don't let him fool you fellas. Rolex knows how to tune an engine. I'm positive we'll see it run sooner or later. Who knows... maybe some of us will even see it in person...

Very sweet....I don't think the kit includes the tranny bearings. But I would ask him. I see you upgraded to the new brakes....they work great. But as long as the shelf is level you don't have to worry about them being too grabby. I remember when this project started....it has came a long way Ralph.......I dig it. As I have said to everyone here a million times, it is a work of Art....you don't expect someone to go drop a Monet in the mud do you? Neither will this piece of work be gotten dirty.

rolex how did u get a 200 dollar tranny case 4 90 bucks??

Someone else started to produce it. rc-mall in Hong Kong. Most of my alloy parts are through them. GPM Racing.
$90 is the standard retail price. I got quite a break.

The throttle linkage is mounted, and the trans is now complete and about to be installed. I found all the main bearings in FastEddy's kit. I'll follow up with the pics.

WOW, that thing is slick! Nice going there, man! I am waaaay too lazy to keep something like that looking clean. I do like a clean rig, but jeez LOL!

Very cool. :)

you need stainless steel ty-wraps and aluminum knuckles and c's.

nice tranny.

LOL!!!

BTW Ralph, comming along very nicely...seriously now I'm jealous. But you can stop now, you beat me a LOOOOOOOOONG time ago with the bling man. Now go put some scrach and dents on it....:whhooo:

I have to say Ralph, I'm very surprised that you don'y have aluminum fuel lines. I'm even going to have aluminum fuel lines on the Maxx. You're not gonna let me 1up you are ya?

can you give me the link for the tranny?? because i really want it

Ebay, rc-mall.

I have to say Ralph, I'm very surprised that you don'y have aluminum fuel lines.

Show me what you have in mind. I tried the chrome braided covers, but I thought they looked a little gaudy. These lines help carry the color theme.

The transmission is now fully installed...(for the 2nd time)
...seems I forgot to add the center dog bones the first time. :D
Still a ways to go with the rest of the reassembly, but the trans is not only beautiful, it's an absolutely perfect fit. All the new hardware was included, and I'm very impressed with it.

RB Innovations. The same company that makes the superchargers.

I've got silver for my Maxx and (blue for my funny car project). Havn't ran the line yet though in the truck. Should provide good throttle response too because the inner diameter is a bit larger than standard medium fuel line (also more lid time)

BTW- The fuel line comes in 2 pieces about a foot long each.. straight, not curved
