What size Heat Shrink Tubing should I use on the SuperFlex 12g motor/esc wire?
1/16, 1/8, 1/4, or something in between?

You can gage the size by being able to Just slip the tube over the largest part of the connection. Tubing will shrink from 10-20% or more depending on the brand.

I found a place where I can order some colored shrink tubing (orange), and I just need to figure out what size to order. The 12g wire seems to have a diameter slightly larger than 1/8". So I'm kinda guessing that 3/16" should work. The next size would be 1/4" What do ya think?
Here's the site if your interested...

3/16 you should be good to go.
You are soldering the wires togher?

There will be solder joints here and there, but I'm thinking of heat shrinking the Orange covering the whole length of the wire to cover the red & black. I couldn't find a place that sells the 12g SuperFlex wire in different colors.. It is just a thought...

Imbroken. Send me your address via PM.
I'll send you some nice butt splice couplers.
First you put on your heat shrink, then couple the wires with the butt splice.
Sloder the connection, slide the heatshrink over the splice, and heat it up.
You might need a bigger heatshrink with the coupler.

lol... Now that I think about it, the shrink tubing is going to defeat the purpose of "Superflex" wire.... Oh well, I'll call ya Ratzo bout them connectors... Thanks guys...

Call me anyway. I might be able to give you a solution for what your trying to do.
I'm leaving just after noon, and will be gone all day, so hit me on the Nextel.

What are you using the wire on?

I was going to run the wire on the ESC, motors & battery for asthetics.. I'm being anal... lol I figured I'd try to match the wire to the Novak Orange ESC case, & put some small pieces of black/red heat shrink on the ends to differentiate polarity..

The reason I was asking is you want to keep the amount of connectors to a minimum. Once you start to add splices, solder joints and connectors the resistance in the system goes up. We spend the cash on good wires, batterys, and connectors to try to minimize the resistance.

Just my thoughts.

I have one tip on the Orange wire from my bud Ratzo, but if it falls through, I plan on running the Deans Wet Noodle wire.. What is the best/cleanest way to make splices like a "Y" splice? I'm not sure how I will be wiring everything as of yet, still researching the whole "series, parallel" thing...

Ware are you splicing from?
Crawler?
Less wire = less resistance
Less connectors = less resistance.

I needed to make a T in one of my lines so I just did it.
Still needs to be cleaned up but this will give you an idea.
Your soldering skills come into play here. Not to much solder but not to little either. It needs to be a clean solid joint.

i used 1/4" or 1/2" shrink wrap for a solder job just like the one you have pictured. it was just enough to fit over the wires and joints. i will have diver take a picture and post it up for you to see.
