Working on a new body for my Speed-NT. Had to make some minor adjustments, like move the top of the rear shocks down and the body mounts up. Also had to take off the plastic cooling head protector. The body will sit just an 1/8" off the head, and I'm afraid the heat will damage the body or the paint. I would cut it out, but as it is, I don't even want to cut the hole for the glow starter. So could I just hot glue a piece of lexan in that spot over the head, on the inside of the body?

Thanks guys. Rob, that's what I'm looking for. Racer, it's close enough that it may push down under driving conditions.

Honestly, I had considered just cutting off the top cooling fin, and putting the plastic head protector back on.
