Hi all

This may sound pretty dumb but my header keeps coming off. I never had this problem when i had the stock header. Now I have THS pipe set for the RS4. It is on my RS43 SS with the .12R SS.

What happens is the screws that go through the block to hold the header start backing out until the whole thing comes off. I have tried threadlock but that didn't help. This has happened three times until i finnaly lost one of the screws.

Any help would be great...also is this bd for the engine??

Which kind of threadlock are you using blue, or red. I would reccomend the red if your using blue.

I use red locktite. All that vibration and heat cycling would make me nervous using anything else. Granted it's harder to take off but that's the whole idea.

ummm I was asking AC48 but it dosent matter. but red loctite is what i would reccomend to if he wasn't

I use the blue kind, i thought that kind would be strong enough...it is wierd cuz i never had that problem until i got the THS pipe. I'll probaly try the red kind...What kind of screws would fit that would leave space for a nut?

If all else fails Shoe Goo the heads of the screws to the header. The Shoe Goo will get hard from the heat, but it will help the screw stay installed.

That's what I had to do on my Maxx when I installed the Wasp and new header.
