It's the 2.5. I was looking at the Hardcore Racing Aluminum Mutant Head. is this any good and is it easy to install?
 
somebody have the nova head?i can't start the engine with this damn head.........
 
I use the Mutant on my OS cvx 15 hyper and it dropped the temps considerably. They are very easy to install, it is only four screws. When you tighten them just do it in a crossing pattern.

Just make sure you do not use a cooling head as a fix for a poor tune, you can still damage your engine if it is not getting enough lube, always make sure you see a nice stream of blue smoke out the pipe.

My friend runs the nova head on his 2.5 and it works perfect. he didnt have to do much tuning or anything. did u check ur plug, ignightor, gas lines, make sure it is full of fuel.:yes:

this is incredible,i work all day tuning drag cars and this tiny engine kick my butt.with stock head works great.my engine had burn only 1/2 gallon of traxxas top fuel 20%.i put this head and i feel the increase of compresion by turning the engine by hand from the flywheel.have a box full of new glow plugs mc -59.when i crank the engine with this head its sounds like it want to quit or stop turning, feels like a v8 chevy with timing to advance.i put back the stock head and start inmediatly.whats happening here.........?
 
I'm very carefull with this,i use the factory shim and no start,use two shims still no start. today i put the nova head with stock shim and after one hour trying and playing with the needles the engine start and feels very strong but was for less then one minute,the engine shutdown and didnt start again after one hour later.then it start again for less then one minute again.it do this one more time and i quit.put stock head back.engine cranks slower with the nova head,i think i have problems with the piston and sleeve because the engine shut down after 5 minutes running and will no start after 5 minutes cooling with the stock head . the nova head takes me one hour no matter the engine is cold or hot.I'm going to order a sirio piston and sleeve because i have a rd logics pipe and header on my way, if not for this, i will put a sirio engine.
 
Well today I bought a Crazy Nut Racing Head. Its big and should help me out I hope. I have tried everything to get the car to run good, and I'm hoping this will help, other wise I'm going to a different motor. Thanks
Any tips on the install??????????
