hdmi cable

first of all, i must give sony a thumbs up for the speed on my system, they paid for overnight shipping, and then it took them one entire day to fix it and was shipped out the next day...but onto the dilemma

has anyone else had a problem with transmitting sound through the hdmi cable...all of a sudden it doesn't transmitt sound but does picture, it wont on my computer or ps3 when either are hooked up, but i konw its not a problem elsewhere becuase i listen to my tv through the surround sound, but when i turn on the ps3, no sound goes through...not even to the tv...any info would be awesome...

even though my setup isnt for hdmi to the surround sound?

EDIT**...fixed it, i was just doing something stupid ....thanks lessen
