Heres the deal. I have a Savage 21 havent even got through a gallon of nitro yet. And having problems with the steering if the truck is off the ground and you turn the the tires via the radio, turn right tires turn right when you let go of the steering wheel tires go back to straight position. But turn them left you dont get full turn radius and once you let go they dont come fully back to straight. Brand new batteries, stock servo, being used... Any suggestions????

try adjusting your steering throw on your radio!
make sure your sevo saver is tight, and yes, you could need a stronger servo as well

This sounds like a combination of issues. The servo that comes with the truck is probably strong enough to recenter the wheels. Most stock servos are great for playing until you actually know what the truck should/could do....then the stock servo is crap. I recommend getting a better servo.

The difference in throw from side to side is a steering servo trim issue. On your radio there should be a couple of small knobs or dials near the front right side (for the stock Savage transmitter). One of those is for the steering. In order to get equal throw, you will need to zero out the trim...or you can adjust the trim to get the throw in either direction that you desire.

sounds to me its just the stock servo. they are kinda high torque but not extreme like is needed to pull the masive tires on a savage. one thing you can do that will help some is get a 5 cell receiver pack. you should also get a new servo saver the stock one is weak. those wont cure the problem but will help. the only real fix is to get a very high torque servo. but as long as the wheels turn when you bump the gas it will work.

Get a High torque servo..$80 ish.
World of a difference

Got the problem solved what happened was my dumb ass put blue locktite on the screws that hold the steering knuckle on. I then bought a kimbrough servo saver and a 5 cell hump pack. And that helped out a lot.
