So I just got a Savage X 4.6, and I'm having a hard time getting it to start. It has had 4 tanks of gas through it. Sometimes after running it for the most part of a tank, I would let it cool down, when coming back outside to run it again, it would not fire up. I'm getting gas to the piston, and the glow plug is working, and the engine is turning over. I'm confused on why it is not starting. Any help will be great! Thanks!

Your ignitor might have been low on juice. I would charge it up fully and take out your glow plug then stick it in the ignitor and see if it glows bright orange. If not...then replace the glow plug.

I tried that and it didn't seem to solve the problem. Also I got a new plug and once again it didn't start.

this is what happend to my new savage 2 =p(it have like 5-7 tanks on it=p)the thing i did was charge my roto start for about 1 hour and my glow igniter for about 2 hours.after this i tried the savage agian and it started=) if this doesn't help try this look a the fuel line and prime it.When you see the fuel right at the carb, hold the roto start for 1 more second. Then press the roto start for 2 seconds without the igniter and without priming it. Then put the freshly charged igniter on it and try starting it=)

(this might help or it might not lol.I tried to help=p)

Ya I did something like that and she started up nicely! Thanks everyone!
