i can seem to get this thing running right and i think i have stripped the idle screw. it just spins. i think I'm gonna take it to the LHS for tunning

Take the idle screw out. Now pull out the barrel. There's a groove that the point of the idle screw needs to ride in.
Is the screw stripped? Without putting the barrel back in, see if you can thread in the idle screw. If you can, back it out enough to put the barrel back in, line it up with the idle screw, and try again.

I stripped a high speed needle screw on a traxxas carb, didn't know it though and it spewed fuel everywhere before I found the problem
