Hi everyone :D
Any of you proud t-maxx owners ever ran into this stroke of luck?

The piston cracked and theres a gash by the crank:whhooo:.
I was burning out mc coy glow plugs as soon as I fired the maxx up:angry:. My 3.3 would overheat 6 turns out rich:\. As soon as I hit the throttle it would stall. Someone please tell me this is some sort of defect and is under warranty with Traxxas because i've only ran two tanks after the break in process... :(

Sounds like you had an air leak in your engine and was making it run really lean. Don't know anything about Traxxas' warranty though. Good luck.

looks like you were running lean
. same thing happened to me. newbie with a 3.3 like a bat outta hell.....and no blue smoke from exhaust to prove it. needless to say my piston shattered and spewed debris all through tmy block. had to rebuild the engine. now I make sure to see smoke when running.
