It took me weeks of dedicated effort, but I finally managed to break something on the Losi 8ight!

It took me to half forward flip it off a little dropped kerb onto it's head at a fair pace. Poor thing landed on the front shock tower and slide a good 6 foot upside down.... on asphalt/tarmac.

Managed to break and entire ... shock stand off. LOL

I'll have to try harder!

You're slacking off, Paul. You've gotta try harder. If you're not breaking it you're not driving it hard enough.

The day after that I took it to the local park and found a 4 foot high 50 degree banking at the side of a path. Managed to get a good 10 foot air off it. Landed the buggy upside down onto a tree stump (the only solid object for 20 yards!) and crack the body shell at the front pin. Still, fairly lame and not a "pack it up and go home", damn thing was still working fine.... smiling at me smuggly.

Need to get it to a BMX course, closest thing to a buggy track without going to an actual buggy track and paying in for the day.

A few jumps with good air and bad landings outta break it nicely.

I heard the 8ights are one tuff cookie, lets see some pics

I have seen it forward flip off a jump and land at a 45 degree angle on the rear wing and come to a VERY abrupt stop with both me and my mate going, "Wowwaaaaawwww! Thats gotta hurt!" and it just drove off, "Is that the best you can do?"

I hit a grass mound jump flat out a few times until I went for the highest, sharpest part of the ridge and... messed it up, had way too much steering load on, paniced, hit the brakes on launch and sent it cork screwing/tumbling 6 foot in the air to land on a front corner full force and roll for 20 yards like it has be chucked out a car window. Didn't even phase it. Drove off.

The only upgrades are the metal servo horn, recommended to me by someone in here. Seems Losi don't want to break your sevos, almost arogant of them, but ... it seems true, their nylon inserts are designed to fail.

The pics I have are all here:
