That would be Greenville North Carolina...

Like I said - the Jeep bike wouldn't be a bad way to get a taste for it - to get out and get a little exercise.

Here's the secret man - get your wife a bike too! I got my fiancee into it, she's got no probs on me spending dough on something that's so good for me and she can do with me from time to time too. I proposed to her on a fantastic ride we did back in June.

Look out - here comes another link to another one of my sites...

Heh! That was my OLD bike...and her OLD bike!

My wife on a bike hahaha thats funny! She is from Brooklyn not much of the outdoorsy type. I bought her one when we lived in florida, when I sold them before moving here hers still had the little spikes on the tires, and a coating of garage dust, lol.

Man that looks like a beautiful place to ride. There are some nice trails to ride here up too off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Especially during Fall.

It's definitely one of those things...you get people out on the trails - some people just love it, and some purely hate it. Not too much in-between. But, the people that take to it - take to it with a passion!

Yeah the key is getting a bike that fits. You can reise the seat and the handle bars up and all that but then the bike wont handle right. Even if you plan on getting something cheap go the the LBS and have them fit you for a bike. You can also sometimes find a steal on a used bike that someone has traded in or is selling because they upgraded.
Like I saind in another post somewhere I went and did mountain biking once a few years ago. I evidently did extreme mountain biking cause it scared the crap out of me a few times. I prefere the road that is where I spent a mahjority of my teen years till I got out of HS.
Those are some really nice photos retread. I noticed one thing that seemed to be a them on that ingaement trip. The Flexing of muscles. That thin air must make everyone thing they are the hulk or something. Looks like you got a nice family in the works there. X

I've got a saying about riding - "If you don't get at least one adrenalin rush when you're on the trail, what's the point in riding"?

Road riding scares me FAR more than riding on the trail. On the road, you've got undpredictable drivers of multi-ton vehicles that certainly are not looking out for YOUR best interests. There's no better way to boost your cardio fitness level though.

On the trail? You've got rocks, trees, ledges, etc...buy they don't move and they can't run you down!

"Flexing Muscles"...I guess when you don't have any to flex (me)...you've just got to "make it look good"!!! :p

Thanks for the comments on the family - we're "blending"...she's got a 6 year old girl - and I've already got THREE kids! We always seem to have fun!

retread the bike you got with you on it wouldnt even be much of a contest for me and my ride lol

C'mon man! Fess up! What do you have? Are we talking like "dirt bike"?? RC-125 or something?

just a cr 250 lol

but probly still out run you on a peddle bike too, I'm pretty fast for a white boy

Hmmm...cool. I'd love to try some "grip twisting" biking sometime. That's another whole level of spending above Mountain Biking! Like jumping to quarter or 1/5th scale R/C's...
