Yeah, I'm gonna have to do a taste comparison. I have about one shot worth of regular Crown left so I'll do a sip test to compare with this Special Reserve. Then there's always the "XR". Wife said the liquor store didn't have that though.. According to their site they only distribute the XR once a year. I hear it's like $100+ per bottle.

EDIT:
For those who may be curious, there's a huge difference between this and regular Crown. It's quite a bit woodier than standard crown but yet retains the sweetness that Crown is famous for. Actually, the sweetness is much different than regular Crown. It seems to be a bit fruitier. Overall it is dramatically more complex than standard Crown Royal.

Cool I have been a crown drinker for 20 + years..
And have never tryed that...I have seen both just never trye them..Ill try it on the next go round..
