Hampton Roads Bash (Pic Intensive)

Well, this is probably my last post for at least 2 weeks or until the movers get all my stuff delivered and I get back online. The bash was more than I could have hoped for. It was a great feeling knowing that everyone was helping everyone out when it came to broken parts, tuning questions, or whatever. All this from guys who had never met until that day. I would like to take a moment and Thank Digital Liquid, Uncdrock57 and Killahbz for making the trip. Hope to run with you guys another time. For those of you waiting for the EP flight video, be patient, it's pretty amazing and for me was the "crown jewel" jump of the weekend. A special Thanks to EP and Sky for the chance to get to know you guys. I had a blast !! So, let me get going and the next time you guys here from me I'll be 700 miles further north.

To be continued..........................................

MilitaryMaxx, it was great bashing with you on all occasions. This two day bash, break, repair, repeat fest was great.

I just finished uploading over 100 clips for a little under 15GB of raw DV to my machine. I have just under fifty stills. And a poop ton of editing to do. There are two other video cameras worth of imagery and a few hundred stills out there. Digital Liquid, feel free to PM me when you want to try and get your video to me. El Pirata, if you want to have Nick's video footage included...you are going to have to coordinate getting that on line and to me. Let me know what you want to do.

This was one heck of a weekend. Today, I managed to destroy three sets of front shocks (two of which were loaners from MM and EP) by either shearing the shafts or bending them (three sheared and three bent). Couldn't say what was the cause other than huge air. My day came to a complete standstill when I managed to shear a rear hinge pin. For HB (if he reads this) and those that have a dislike for HiTec servos, I almost joined your ranks today as I fragged two digitals. The things felt as if the motor seized or something. I will be breaking them down and seeing what the problem is over the next few days. End result is the MBX-5 is sidelined until the Fall. Guess it will be a quiet nitro-free Summer for me.

Speaking of Fall, this bash was so much fun...we are starting to look at a September/October time frame for another bash in the Hampton Roads area. More to come as we figure out how to do this right. We learned a bit about coordination on this bash....so the next one should be better. Who knows there may be more than one buggy going for the huge jump over the street.

Anyways, I echo MM's appreciation for the fellas from NC. Digital, UNCD, and killa...thanks for making the trip. Hope it was worth the ride.

WOW!! It looks and sounds like you guys had a blast. I can't wait to see some footage of that jump.

ROUND 1 of Stills

I just got done cropping my first batch of stills. I still have 15GB worth of footage to extract stills from and create a video. On top of that, I just got Digital Liquid's stills and footage (300+ stills with four or five mini-videos). I'm not certain anyone will get sick of seeing shots from this bash, but I will post what we shot as I get it finished.

Final tally of who was there:
Digital Liquid, El Destructo, El Pirata, Killhabz, Military Maxx, Nick, Russ Winn, SkyLineRacer, SkyMaxx, UNCDROCK57, and the dude with the Jumbo Kong tires (forgot his freaking name...hate when that happens).

In the meantime, take a look below:

Every picture in the entire thread is filled with what I call "yucky sky" except EP's insane jump. Seems the buggy god smiled and put on the best colors they had for ya EP. Your are ....dum dum dum........The Chosen One

You had better be referring to the ether above us. If I am the "yucky sky" in question, you will find that I can rain down upon you in much the same fashion that God did to Noah and family.
