GS storm Hop-ups

Hey all, i got a storm for xmas and i have been getting used to it over these last months and was wondering what the best hop ups are and the ones i should get first in order! i got new turbo rats on it already.

There are literally hundreds of things you could do but if the stock parts are holding up I'd suggest leaving it as is until you need to replace something.

The only thing I would change before it breaks it your radio setup. Tx, Rx, and servos if you plan to race, or bash with other people. Get a Fm synthized radio, this way you don't have to worry about someone being on your channel. Good luck!

Aside from the Storm being a well built machine there is a design flaw in the way the wing mounts to the rear bulkhead. The aftermaket company Fioroni saw this and came up with this piece.
The tabs on the rear bulkhead are just waiting to be snapped off because of the way the wing is connected to them. The rear shock tower does help, but this upgrade ties everything together.
In my opinion, this piece is essential. But there are probably guys who have never broken those tabs on the rear bulkhead. I say they're running on borrowed time.

I've noticed this and stuff but one thign I dont understand. I've tried back flips over and over and never broke the wing just bent both front abd back shock towers to hell and back. IMO the weakest parts of a storm are the tires and shock towers. I suggest Hardcore Racing. Expensive but its quality poop.

Agree, I also have the HC Titanium towers (and some other Ti stuff), and the upgraded torque rods. None of this was put on for the "bling bling" factor. All were upgrades after their stock equivalent failed. Yes, I bent the stock towers too and that wasn't from flips. It was landing real hard (pancaking) to the point that the shock/arm compressed so fast that it bent the tower. I never fully broke those tabs on the rear bulkhead, but had quite a few stress cracks. So I was close to full breakage.
It's funny sometimes. Where one of us would constantly break a certain part, others have never had problems with it. Maybe it's the same with auto manufacturers. Cars built on Monday suck because the workers are hungover from the weekend. Cars built on Fridays suck because they want to get the hell out of there and start their weekend. And cars built on Tue-Thur are the best.
Who knows why some parts break for some and never for others.

MM, that was one of the best anaolgies I've ever heard. Your totally right. I plan on upgradeing my bulk heads next, changing shock and diff oil, non covered airfilter(when not running in a place so dusty).....How much were those bulk heads by the way and where'd you order them? I've ordered all my stuff except for bulk heads
