Long story Short! : Bought a car at an auction. Its a 2006 HONDA ACCORD SEDAN. I checked on carfax and it was in 2 accidents. One of them it does not state a price, the other costed 1670. So i thought it was no biggy. The way it works at the auction is u buy the car, THEN they will give you there history report. Turns out, the 1st accident costed 13000 in repairs. So pretty much for 13000 means the whole damn thing had to go in to get fixed. It was the front end that it says the impact was on,. So, now, i know there is a carfax BUYBACK GUARANTEE if it was rebuilt and they didnt say it was. So, i need to figure out and get proof of that i was rebuilt. I'm going to go to the licsensing bureau here in OTTAWA, ONTARIO, CANADA and ask them if they know if its rebuilt. What if they say "no". Then wat? Like I'm positive that for 13000 IT WAS MOST DEFINETLY REBUILT. It was rebuilt by a honda collision center and i know this as i typed in the vin number in google and found it on a craigslist page from honda and in the picture behind it was the collision center sign.
Let me know waht you guys think, i just blew 13000 for the car and now its i know its garbage!!

Not carfax's problem. (The way I understand it anyway.) It was on the report. Don't see them buying it back because the auction company wouldn't let you see it.

Here, if there is a problem with the vehicle they have to run it through the auction on a yellow light. I've seen newer 4x4's with little mileage yellow or red lighted because they had a lift on them.

Good luck with it. But the way it sounds it yours.

well what I'm really trying to get at is WAS IT REBUILT? carfax says it wasn't, but if it was, then they have to buy it back. So I'm tryna call around tryna figure out what the hell did they fix. for 13000 thats a brand new car right there.

It could have been repaired for the $13,000. If it was shortly after purchase, it may have been more cost effective to repair it. If it was totaled, a lot of states put it on what is known as a salvage title. This shows that the insurance company has written it off as a total loss. You might want to check if that is the case with your car.

Kid crashed my truck, it was $5500 to fix it. They would have totaled it at 75% of the cost to replace it. Body shop has to guarantee all the work though.
