help!!..my s-25 is fully tuned..but my idle is high..i tried richening the lsn to the point whre my low speed is totally sluggish..that didnt help..i also tried playing around with the idle needle but nothing slows this truk down..I've gotten to the point where it shuts off as i apply brakes...could it b my clutch engagin too early?..any info would b great..thanx

Its probably the idle screw,, It should only be 2mm opened max,, Double check to see if your trim setting on your radio is down all the way too..

Back up a bit and re-adjust your LSN close to where it should be. Once this is done DISCONNECT your throttle linkage and adjust your idle screw as mentioned above to approx. 2mm. This is about the thickness of a credit card or a paper match stick. Carefully start the engine and adjust the idle to its proper setting. Once this is done reconnect and adjust the linkage.

The reason it as stalling when you apply the brakes is that the idle screw isn't adjusted properly and is alowing the carb to close. My guess is once you disconnect the linkage and set the idle screw you will find that your linkage adjustments are out of whack as well.

Good luck and happy new year.

Remove the air filter(s) and, with the transmitter and receiver on,apply the brake fully and adjust the idle screw per manual instructions...this will stop the brake killing the engine problem...RCR

After checking your idle needle settings and they are okay I'd check the clutch shoes next. I had a similar problem where I'd apply the brakes and it stalled every time. It turned out the clutch shoe had popped off the spring and was engaged constantly.
