Is this normal? I noticed it today. I also noticed it when I was taking apart my NTC3. There was green material inside.

I've never heard anything bad about it. i have green liquid that drips out sometimes if its running rich.

That's probably what it is. I'll have to lean it a bit. But I'll try to take a picture of the old NTC3 exhaust so you can see the green.

Are you running an odd colored fuel? Sometimes the dyes from them can have that effect. If I remember correctly, people had that with Blue Thunder. It can also be unspent castor from the fuel that has gunked up.

Oh, I used Blue Thunder for my engine on the NTC3. I guess that was what it was. For the one I have right now, it's Traxxas Top Fuel, which is clear blue-ish.

i use blue thunder, and i have it in my rs4 mostly, a little in the savage. but its mostly blue still coming from the savage

Blue Thunder fuel is blue, but leaves a green color behind. I think it's O'Donell that leaves the amber.
Here's an old pic of a Traxxas .15 that ran Blue Thunder. The transparent coating they leave behind is also a sign of a clean running, well tuned engine.
