I'm used to seeing Tmaxxs and Revos with the flat silk screen print that gets stretched differently on every shell when it's formed.
The Savage really puts out a beautiful body with attention to detail. The picture, of course, never does justice, but the metalic blue and the 2 tones of metallic silver are really beautiful.
I'm really impressed with this shell. All the graphics are even, and straight the way they should be on a pro paint job.
Hey, it's no Sponge Bob, but it's VERY impressive for a stock lid.

i liked the new shell since i first saw 'em. they definately look much better than the old 25 ones

I couldn't believe how heavy this lid was in the box, but when I took it out I found one of these things underneath it.

I've finally graduated out of the Traxxas class. Between this big block monster and my M11 radio, I'm ready to rrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuuuuumble.

I'm with you..I think I'm pretty much done with my revo for a few months, after going through more engine mounts and spur gears(even with a good gear mesh and a loose slipper!)
Then fuel I got fed up with it and started looking for a savage!
That really is a nice stock body!

can't wait to gather up the cash to get mine running,
The poor thing is just begging me to run it so I took it and pushed it across the floor wile making engine sounds but its just not the same!

Hope you have fun with it!

Funny you should say that, Scooby. I went to the LHS today knowing I would be leaving with a Revo. I looked at them both, and I'm very familiar with Revos because I've worked on a lot of them in the past.
The Revo, of course, has an awsome suspension system, but for looks, grunt, strength and a change of pace I got the Savage.

shiny, post some more pics once it gets a little dirty
Are you serious grgbulldog? It would ruin that wax job I'm doing to it.

LMAO....I'll try that. At least it will stay clean and shiny.

Wax on, wax off...and Armoral on the tires. It will only look this good once.
After I wreck my knees pushing it around on the floor till my buzzing lips go numb, I'll have to start attacking it with the dremel through the windshield. Then it's all downhill from there.

so sad...i never got that chance with mine. i bought it used, i did with my rc18t though..but i pretty much just couldn't wait to get it out and play.

I'm not against Revos at all In fact I love driving mine, but I break it Every time I look at it wrong.

Not saying that the Revo has durability issues, but its just not strong enough to accept the punishment I'm willing to give it!

Although the last 2 times I've used it was mostly onroad no jumps at all that I can remember and I broke a spur gear the first time and a engine mount and spur the second.

Oh and just for the record if you own a Revo and are tempted to put a little thin sheet metal on the roll bar to help with rolling over onroad(to reduce wear) DON'T DO IT!

I did it and I landed upside down and the covering caused the roll bar not to flex much so it broke part of the roll bar, forced the chassis down(bent it), the bending chassis broke the engine mount, the breaking engine mount broke the spur..

Oh wait,I think that was the day I snapped and bent a rpm a arm as well.. long story short my stupidity cost me a bit of cash and a lot of frustration.

One last thing.. that problem wasn't the root of me saying It breaks every time I look at it wrong.. many other things break constantly when I drive it.

There's only one thing that would make any brand new RC even more pleasurable to me, and that's building it from a kit. That's just not available anymore, other than a few high end onroad cars.

thats a lot of damage for one hit. i love knowing i was punishing mine enough to break it, then willingly without thought go and buy new parts

Replacing broken parts, and upgrading other parts is half of what this hobby is all about. It's that very first shiny side slide that's OH, so unbearably painful.

lol have fun with your truck and be sure to post more pics and maybe even a vid of that awesome pushing action!

I hear ya! I remember flipping mine during breakin and thinking "ouch! Its got to be broken now!" then running over to it and seeing its scratched.

Its hard to get past that first time but now when I think back it was great! it must have flipped rolled and slid a good 15 feet!
