grease vs oil

Grease (imo) is a minimum requirement. Using silicone diff fluid has more of a positive traction affect where the grease keeps the gears from wearing and heating up. Most people go with the 50,000 - 100,000 fluid for bashing. If your pulling them apart anyway you may want to shim the diffs. Both the fluid and shimming are cheap upgrades for better performance and diff life.
