It has less flex then regular plastic(Compsite) and it is more brittle. Good for onroad racers,
 
I had this same topic come up at a track once and the general consensus was that the only advantage graphite had over it's counterparts, i.e. aluminum, titanium, steel, and carbon fiber was that it was the lightest in weight. If weight is your only concern then I say go with it, otherwise look at something else.
