this evening i was running my maxx after installing a new airfilter ,,
well started off good ,but started loosing power bigtime ,,
ok ,outta tune ,tuned it ,,seemed good ripped around alittle and wapp it flamed out ,
thought ok, plug went ,took it all inside ,reinstalled a new 1 ,charged the battery for the starter ,went out ,,turned over slow ,,then not at all,,
ok ,,flooded it ,,took'er inside ,took the new plug out ,nothing notta drop of fuel ,,but would not turnover either ,thought since it was just past breakin ,it locked at tbc, notta chance ,it was sieze up ,,havenmt a clue then ,,wasn't hot ,i could pick it up by the head ,,not hot at all,,
thought ,,what the **** ,so i tore it down ,low and behold there was a staple lodged into the between the piston and sleeve ,tore up the P/S beyond repair ,,not i gotta tear it all down and get all the filing out and all that crap ,
so to say the least i am really really upset ,,
but i guess i learnt something today ,,,
ALWAYS CHECK THE PACKAGING ,,,,

That really sucks man... Thanks for that tip though.... :)
Awhile back, I had a similar experience with an AE pipe that I bought on Ebay.. The engine kept loadin up, and I came to find out that there was a packing peanut inside the pipe, that eventually disintegrated & oozed out...

well what really pisses me off is the fact i just bought the filter from hobbytown while i was shopping in harrisburg this weekend ,,installed and and this happens,,

just called traxxas and they will stand behind this problem,,,they are not surewhat thye are going to do ,,but what ever it is it will not cost me a penny ,,,
so i will keep ya posted as to theresults,,and whos says traxxas support sux,,,,,lol
take care

No one here has ever said that Traxxas support sucks, quite the contrary, they set the standard and raise the bar. Traxxas always took care of me, even when they didn't have to. For this I will always buy Traxxas stuff if it fits my needs, and the REVO does.

i was referring to another forum,,,not this 1, ppl bashing traxxas service and support,,meant nothing by it ,,as far as i am concerned they have helped me alot the last few weeks and honestly they did not have to stand behind this ,,but i bought a brand new traxxas filter from a very good store and i opened the package, the staple holding the cardboard was intact and was there ,,i installed the new filter and in less then a tank this happened,,they told me to send the motor in and they would take care of it 1 way or another ,,,
#1 in my book,,they did not have to ,,,but theyare,,excellent service and support ,,
