My LHS got in the Revo. All that I can say is that I was very impressed.
Very very smooth suspension. Awsome looking truck.
My best guess from looking at it is that its more for racing then bashing.
Very low CG.
Very impressive.
Any Q's, I'll try to help.

Did you get one? It seems lots of us are waiting for reviews from someone who has one, so we know what to expect of it. It's sort of like getting a 1:1 car in it's first year out. We want someone else to go through the recalls before we commit.

I think he did get it because the title of the post was, "Got the Revo" When you gonna start breaking her in?

Sorry for missleading you. I didn't buy one. It was sold before it got to the store. (prepaid for)They (traxxas) will only send out one at a time. We orderd 8 and got only 1.
I won't know how it will run with the "R" engine, because the guy who bought it was pulling the engine out of the truck at the hobbie shop.
He's putting something else in it, and selling the new 2.5R on ebay.

if anyone wantss to see some reviews go to the traxxas forums, a bunch of people got their revo's.

just make sure you don't get banned :boxing:
you know how picky they are about what you say

That's so funny, because I am buying the Revo, along with a Sirio engine, I will keep the 2.5 for a backup.

I put a deposit on my Revo eerr revolt eerr reject :hammer: and I need to pay the differnce when I pic it up next week. I'll be sure to post pics.

I've got the revo. Well...my dad owns it. It is beautiful. Broken in and all. She books. We did have a major problem with the temp. though. Traxxas cringed when we told them it got up to 470 degrees F. Cooked the color right off the cylinder head. It gets up and goes though. Much stronger than it's brother the T-maxx. The sliders are twice that of the maxx. The only problem I see with it is cleaning it. That's alot of stuff to clean. Any questions feel free to ask.

Wow 470! thats crazy hot. I assume you didnt break anything yet on it tho? I seen it at my lhs and it looks like itl tower over a savage is it hard to handle being so big?

Humbolt, you will need to do a little dremmel work to get the sirio in it. the mounts are different.
Also, the header doesn't go on right. I dont know what the did at the LHS exactly, but thats what they told me when I was looking at it.

are you thinking of another recently released MT like the LST or somthing because the Revo is actually low to the ground due the racing design of it.

O it's tall, way taller than my T, and at the same time a very controlable and driver friendly truck. At top end I had no trouble controling, steering, and stopping the truck. I had a very close call with the common butthead that likes to drive his/her car toward the rc, but I avoided a collision easily. You can literally drive it with two fingers, that's what i did during break in. The suspension is the most amazing part as figured by most, and to my suprise, this truck isnt too far off from being very bash worthy. The strength of this truck has incresed 100% as compared to the big T.

if it towers over the MAXX ans Savage what is the reason its not bash worthy??

What r u saying? because it's tall it is supposed to be bash worthy? It can take some abuse but jumping it off a house or getting 20 ft of air will still leave devestating results, for almost any truck. and i didnt say it towered over the savage, but it is taller than big T.

I was at my LHS and they actually had 4 revos on the shelf. I didnt get to ask if they were on reserve or if I could look at one because it was so busy. I was gonna call on Monday and see what the scoop was.

My LHS has the Revo on the their front counter for everyone to drool over.
I must start out by saying I'm not a Traxxas fan whoever they did their homework in this one I was impressed at first site.

The first thing I noticed was all the little details they added. The new design of the bumper mounts, gas tank and lid opener, battery\ radio box, hex screws, exhaust location, just to name a few. I need to say that the suspension is smoother than any RC I have ever seen. It articulates like silk. I did a drop test from 3 feet or so and it didn't bottom out or bounce back, it stuck like glue. The drive tubes are huge and have a real high spline count as well and should prove to be tuff. Adding rubber boots on the shaft ends is a nice touch as well.

A few weird things I noticed were the placement of the engine and chassis slot for a bump start. The engine sits ant an angle to keep the CG lower. This will make replacing engines interesting. The bump start hole sits way up on the side of the chassis at an angle as well. I'm sure it will take a special starter box that will work on only the Revo for now. The two servo steering setup is interesting and will be cool until one goes out.
All in all just from groping it on the counter of my LHS, I like it. I may have to hang for a while and let the kinks get worked out then add one to the stable.

Yeah actually i am thinkin bout the lst that thing is huge but i guess the revo is bigger than the t-max by hight and sounds like itll be good for light bashing like high speed runs or mayb a jump or 2 by the sounds of the suspension. It is definantly an eye catcher

Gotta agree with ya there, I got lucky on a 1st gen. T, I bought it in Apr. "99, and ran the piss out of it. The only things I have left of it are the Tx, one servo, and the tranny( built into a SM 8mm FOC w/input gears). I'll wait until the dust settles, then decide on the Revo, or LST. Maybe both! :smoke:
