I've also got 3mm Graphite TVP's, a Lunsford Upgrade Kit, HCR Ti. engine mount and roll bar and lots of other good stuff on the way! No Jeep body yet though  I'll be sure and post some pics once everything is installed and the truck is put back together!!!

WOW, that look like some High Tech setup. It look to me like it should be very adjustable for the Hookup time. Let it ride out and get massive aceleration?

Let us know!

REX I want an official review on the XTM slider clutch it seems to be a great purchase price. LMK, nice upgrades buddy.

I saw the clutch's a few weeks ago at my LHS.The guy thier was putting one his O.S engine and I liked how it looked.I've been looking for a decent slider clutch and this one looks like it will work very good! I asked him he'd tested it out yet before I bought but he said no so I figured I'd try it out and it go's nicely with the new engine plus the flywheel is alot smaller than my Mugen I was running so I can get more gearing options without modding the TVP's.Once I get all the stuff and break in the engine I'll post a nice reveiw on the clutch. At $23 for the whole setup I couldn't pass it up!!

The spring in the picture and the one you are asking about is indeed a TRS.

24.7 pro is a great engine, you will not be dissappointed. I would be interested to know how that clutch works out though....

I want to know how that clutch works out just because of the price of the fironi parts. If you wanna go fiorni you can have one clutch and all the fixins for like $50.00 If this is a viable option I can out fit my savage and my buggy.

Like I said I'm waiting for some other choice goodies to get here before I can rebuild the Savage and break in the engine.I'm kinda curious how this engine will perform compared to my problematic 8 port. The 8 port had nice power but it was far from a reliable engine! I've heard nothing but good things about the 24.7 Pro so hopefully I'll be happy with this one for a while. I think this engine coupled with the THS pipe I have on the way will make for some good bashing power!!I've also stripped all the purple anodizing off of the remaning chassis peices so that eveything will be silver, graphite and blue! It should look pretty good when I'm finished!!

Ok guys I got all my Stuff today and got a chance to put her together!!! I still have to do some work on it before I can drive it.The clutchbell and spur don't line up at all and I can't figure out why.

You can see in this pick whats going with the gear mesh. The clutchbell isn't shimmed at all and still it won't line up?Anybody got any ideas??I think the flywheel might not be on all the way but it doesn't have pins like normal flywheels so my wrench won't work on it.I may have to switch back to my Mugen setup if I can't get this to work.

Rex if it is in fact on correctly you might have to opt for an adjustable motor mount setup. I got one from GPM that works out swell. As Far as tightening it down don't you tighten it down before you put the clutch on. Does the flywheel feel like it is slipping. Also can you make any adjustments to the engine as it sits.

Well the flywheel was on correctly so I guess I just need another motor mount. I swapped out that setup with my Mugen setup and it lines up perfectly. This sucks because I jsut got the HPI 2 peice heatsink mount but it doesn't let you move the motor forword or back just side to side.I'm going to order the GPM mount today and see if that will let me use this clutch and flywheel.

Ok guys I know it's been a while since I made this thread and but I've been busy getting my real car and haven't had time to break her in.I finally got some free time and got her broken in properly. This thing is a whole new animal now!!! Break in on the 24.7 pro was kinda tough though. The manual called for 8 turns out on the LSN and this did prove to be far to rich.So I took the advise others had given me about the needle settings and set the LSN to 6 turns out from closed and problem solved.Once the engine was running and heated up to about 140 I richened the LSN until it was puking fuel and continued the break in at around 160-170 degrees.Even with the engine running this rich it still wanted to pull the wheels off the ground!!! I've got 4 tanks through it now.I think I'm gonna run one more tank and then start tuning it.The manual doesn't really state how many tanks to run through it so I'm just going to be cautious and run one more.

The XTM slider clutch was a breeze to install but I did have some trouble lining up the clutchbell and the spur properly.I'm running an Ofna 16T clutchbell and the stock 52T spur gear.I had to order the GPM adjustable engine mounts to get the gear mesh right but once I got the mount everything was good.Once I get some more fuel though it and get a chance to really beat the crap out of the truck I'll let you all know how the clutch performs but so far it looks very promising!!!

I just ordered the mach 26 for my savage along with that xtm slider clutch so I'm excited about how she'll perform. I also ordered the xtm backplate so that I can convert it to the rotostart and for $3 more than a one way alone I got a one way and backplate from hobbypeople so I can't complain.

Hey Rex2342, where did you get that gas tank mount?? I've already smashed two tanks and I would love to get a tank guard. NICE lookin truck, i love the graphite, blue and silver look:thumbsup:

The tank guard is from Adrenaline and it's great!! It's the only one I've seen that use's 3 screws to hold it in place instead of just 2 so it's more stable than others on the market. The only thing with the tank guard is that it was a pain in the ass to get hold of. You can check it out here http://www.adrenalinerc.ca/ for more info it.I'm not sure if it allows you to use the stock Savage tank or not so you'll have to find out if you plan on getting one.
