Got some new parts.

Like I said, I love the concept of the 2 piece bulks. It would be much easier to work on. But I do wonder about the longevity of the design.

Hey, kudos for going for it. I can appreciate someone who feels they can benefit from a new design. You don't know until you try it. Give us an honest report every now and then and let us know how they're holding up. It would be a bonus to have easier access to the diffs.

The thread Old Skool showed us confirmed what we've been telling ya. Making excuses isn't exactly arguing. I'm sure that dude sabotaged his new bulks after modding his rpm arms. Search the site for 30 seconds and you could've bought good ones the first time. Thanks for the warning about hot racing.

I agree If I could get easier access to the diffs it would be great however there is a Trade off in durability at least now

They do look nice. If you ever break screw off and can't get it out, let me know. I can get them out of just about anything. Hot Racing has few parts I'm intersted in, may have to try them out.

A machined 2 piece design might be all right. It isn't a big deal to tear the suspension apart, anyways. If these parts were $.50 a piece, or my wallet was endless, I may strive to be different. If I want to be unique, I'll do it with a body and paint job. Not structure.

If I see correctly how it's built, there really isn't much trade off. 2 screws that close together will be very stout.

Reaper, is there an inter-locking groove in the top like there is at the bottom?

well once i get every thing back together i will give a review of how they do. only issue is i am basing my build around driving capability and not being able to jump houses and and send small children to the hospital. now the occasional dog getting in the way is fine. now if this idea catch's on maybe someone might make a bulkhead around bigger engines which would be larger in size allowing screws to go all the way through the removable piece.

Now you have an idea the thru screw idea might work!!
as is will not work !! I drive my truck too hard for that:p:

well i could go for a tank but that's something more suited to a savage so for now i am working on a something that would run similar to a baja truck. i would have liked the slayer but it just doesn't have crap for clearance. the bulks should handle anything i do. i ran on a front broken bulk head for a month and did all sorts of hits, tumbles, and spins and it still held together.

I don't know about jumping houses, but I definitely don't drive it like an on road car. Rolling it and bad landings(pretty much the same) are what tear up parts. And crashing. And believe me, you'll crash. Happens to everybody.

I don't think thats the point If i'm gon na spend hard earned cash on my truck I will spend it on proven parts

I'm not buying the broken bulk head bit. Unless the bumper mount holes are what yer talking about. Anything else would've let loose from tumbling or hitting something.

matt do you even know what baja is?

I'm sure I don't.

i understand that but i dont like most of the parts available and i think that the UE parts are not worth as much as they go for so my selection is limited. i want my tmaxx to be able to take a beating but i don't want to be slowed down by much so i have to take weight and tune ability into account when buying parts.

also matt it was a broken bulk if want a picture i can get one. having a roll cage can help a lot to saving a truck.

Blah Blah. I'm still wanting to know what this baja thingy is. Sounds foreign to me. Is it new?

you are clueless aren't you. the baja 500 or the baja 1000 out in california. the only proper racing that America has.

I'm a 27 year old gear head. Are you freakin' kidding me? You need to get your head outta the mouth you sit on.

This is the one I meant to quote.

OldSkool knows what i am talking about. that one was a bit smaller than the full size ones i am thinking of but if i had that i would make a cow catcher and then animals beware. also matt you seem to act like you know vechiles but you don't seem to ever use theory and i have not ran across the maxx you use. so if its so good than post it.
