My box does not have a "Red X" on the bottom. Does that mean I need to retorque the engine back plate?

very important i need wife's number....lol good truck, good radio, good t.v,speaker gots to go... i hope you take good care of that woman,i have a friend his wife will not compromise, she will not let him spent a dime on his r/c truck he has a terra crusher and its not to good now he needs to get rid of her!!!! and I'm not talking about the truck...lol

Does that mean you need to retorque the engine back plate? I think it does.

RossB you must be one happy husband man! That only means one thing, you need to give back that favor two-fold in return. Soon you need to make a trip to a jewelry shop, right?

Hey, if she ever needs another husband, let me know lololol Juz kidding man.

Great Score! You will love it!!!

The red X means HPI has already added loctite to the screws that go into the back plate. I would still suggest doing a visual inspection. There have been rumors that people will add the red X's just to sell them.

Thanks for the comments guys.

With respect to the "Red X", she got the truck from Tower Hobbies and it was brand new stock. I guess I will double check the backplate, no big deal. Look forward to building and painting it. I am going to go with a S25 fuel tank, 3 shoe clutch, motorsaver, and the reverse module. I also want to paint up a GraveDigger body in addition to the stock body.

I will post pix during the build-up.

that sounds great. can't wait to see the pics. good luck on the build and remember to break it in enough.
