Here is another thread you may also want to look at.

You buying some tix for the lottery too?

no, i have no money in paypal :(

i ran the car for two tanks today.. the result is slowish speeds, and when i hit the brake to a complete stop its still idling high, i hit the engine with my hand and it stops sometimes "ideling high" what should i do? should i remove the thing in the carb also? how? let me know all this.. thanks!

I run the 3racing, 4mm chassis on my NTC3. Very strong, not too heavy and a nice design. Chamfered edges, clean countersinks, good overall design.

Check to see if the carb arm is binding. This is what happen to my gf car. I removed the carb governer form my gf car as soon as she got it. " crash wide open with the governer= same cost with out it. It will make your car alot faster. Good choice on the ntc3! get the 2 speed first and have some fun. There are two diffrent ones the v1 and the v2, the v1 and the same pitch and the v2 has two diffrent pitch for greater adjustabilty. have fun!

First, which engine did it come with and what style of carb? Rotary or slide? It can be anything from binding because of misalignment or a tuning issue. I think it's misalignment of the throttle assembly.

ok heres the latest update.

In the mail i have coming...

NIB RD logics tuned pipe turbo
NIB Mugen MT-12 Engine
Ofna True start starter box w/ charger "used"

all this for my new NTC3, what do you guys think?

That should be good. Thats the same combo that I have. novarossi mt-12 with a new rd logic pipe except it the non turbo pipe. The pipe looks sweet and make good mid power. make sure you get the two speed for thar motor. You'll love it ! I post new pic of my car.

is your NTC3 pull start ??? casue i have my NTC3 FTK on the way an i wanna put my OS.18 in it, and i wantted 2 know if there is room 4 the pulll start.

IF I AM CORRECT, the 18 is a direct drop in, even with the pull start. I saw one NTC3 with the OS18, pullstart a few weeks ago. The MT12 is a nonpull engine.

i have a starter box, i dont have to worry about that pullstart thing. but yeah.. the MT-12 should give me alotttttt of power and bottom end. then i have a 2 speed deal in progress. used for 20 bucks.

sounds right

Everything you have sounds good. I'm sure it will be the difference of night & day when you switch engines. I know it was for me when I switched from the stock rtr .12 to the Sirio .12.

I too run the RD Logics pipe (not the turbo one). It is a killer pipe and has an awesome sound to it. Just make sure you get the .15 gaskets and not the .12 gaskets to help seal the pipe better.

The last thing you need is a custom body to reflect your custom ride. Pick one out that looks like it will give you alot of downforce. You will be surprised at how good it will handle w/ an aerodynamic body on it. HPI makes some sweet touring car bodies.

DL, sup man, guess what! i got a 95 eclipse body haha, unpainted, but it needs to be washed and stuff, and i need to go buy some paint and paint it, just wondering, how do i get carbon fiber for the hood and spoiler??? i want to do that design. is there a templete or something? let me know, later

oh and i bought some more stuff,

hardcore titanium blue driveshaft
carbon fiber radio tray
front and rear sway bars
ellegie front and rear foams
.15 gasket
and shock springs
then last but not least for long, 2 speed.

i hope this trade goes well, hes shipping out tomarrow morning. wish me luck.

SR, that looks like a pretty good list of stuff. Hopefully the trade w/ go through w/out any problems.

As far as the CF design goes. Check these websites out for step-by-step instructions.

http://www.rccars.com/rccp/PAINTfolder/paint11/paintcarbon.htm

(about 3/4 down the page you will see the carbon fiber)

You basically use the non-slip mats as a design template. You can find a role of it at Wal-mart in the kitchen section. I have tried it a couple of times and got decent results.

I used the recommended black and silver but started using other colors instead to give me a custom CF that also matched the other designs on my lids. Here is an example of my copper carbon fiber on the truck bed:

Good luck!

:boxing: OMG this sucks, i found out that the guy i was dealing with was a major scammer, i found this out after i shipped it. so right now I'm trying my best to get UPS to send it back to me, they said they will try tomarrow at the scheduled delievery time, i hope i dont get ripped, man this sucks. ok no more buying off of radio controlled zone, I'm sticking to RCNT only now

I GOT MY PACKAGE BACK!!! woo hooo, man I'm sticking to people on here only now lol.... cause all of the guys on here are trustworthy

but yeah, got my cash and stuff back, now its back to looking for a 2speed, new engine, and other misc. hop ups for my NTC3... :(

Good to see that you saved the deal b/f it went bad. People trying to rip you off really sucks, but once again the brown santa saved the day.

So it looks like it's back to the shopping scene for your NTC3. LMK if you come across any cheap threaded shocks b/c I need a set.
