  1. Bashing
it seems that all I have done for the past week is replace parts on my t-maxx. fix one thing and something else would break.
oh well, i guess i could drive it like granny on a sunday drive, but i like driving like Jimmy Spencer on a sunday drive.......AAAAAGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!:whhooo::whhooo:

Yeah I know what ya mean! When I drove my rusty alot ever time I took it out I would have to fix it. Now I have it in tip top shape on the shelf where it is safe. Guess I could of drove like granny to and it would of been fine haha yeah right bashing it is way more fun! Bash on bro bash on!

Yeh I know what you mean, mine is sitting in my bedroom floor with the entire front end off of it. Had a litte run in with my neighbors bush acroos the street. Tore the whole left front off. 30 mph wheelies and sudden impacts with inmovable objects will do that. Oh well good thing repalcement parts are cheap. I came across a brand new rolling chassis, minus wheels and tires, motor and reciever. So now I have all the patrs I need and then some.

in the past three days.......
new e-z start gears
motor mount
2 half-shafts
steering linkage screw
receiver holder
spur gear
shock keeper
upper control arm
batteries
and endless amount of walking to the garage to do the repairs........

looking foward to tomorrow!!:hehe::hehe::hehe:

Well you know what they say. Wrenching is half the fun! There are a lot worse things we could be doing with our time and money.

haha thought that was a little funny.... even if u drive like a granny you will still have to replace batterys :) i know you already know that just wanted to point it out :) ..... its late and I'm tired leave me alone

actually, while working on the truck one evening I left the radio turned on. didn't find tha tout till the next day:\

i will actually hold my hand up and say that i have done the same before aswell.
My Radio starts to beep as the batterys go flat and it woke me up all night couse i couldnt work out what it was... :(

Eventually, all of our toys turn out into money pits. With the money I have spent modding my 4908 these past 8 months, I could have bought at least two brand new ones...

I practally have two brand new ones. I have my 4908 that I bought back in May, and a brand new complete rolling chassis that I bought on ebay. Not to mention the Slayer that I'm bidding on. Good thing I'm not collecting Muscle cars or Harleys!:whhooo:

while washing my t-maxx last night I found that the chassis braces were broken. both on the front end. so I have decided to tear down the t-maxx and install a widened a-arm set-up I got off e-bay along with new turnbuckles. i will also install new steelcv shafts, bearings, rebuild shocks, new chassis braces and clean the living crap out of her for better aerodynamics when flying off skateboard ramps!!!!:hehe:

you just gotta love it!

Yeah I'll probably give mine a good cleaning while it's on the injured reserve list. Meanwhile I'm gonna have some fun with the Slayer I won on ebay. It'll be here Monday can't wait! I love this hobby!!!

the only i have found to keep my t-maxx from breaking is to let it set on the floor.

I have the best of luch with mine(knock on wood) I beat the piss out of mine and I rarely have anything brake I even jump mine at least 4'-6' every time I get it out. Okay I take that back I broke a toe link last time I took it out.

I'm having to rebuild my motor the connecting rod failed and punched a hole in the piston. The same thing happened to my buddy's 3.3. We both got about 4 gallons of fuel ran through them before they went. I'm gonna go with a Davis Diesels rod I've heard they last forever, they certainly look beefier than the Traxxas one.

some people just have luck with them and some dont, my brothers tmaxx has probably 4 gallons through it. motor hasnt been rebuilt and hes only had to change a couple parts from huge hits. he drives the living poop outta it and it just keeps going. the motors never been tuned and its got 1/2" of mud on it. mine on the other hand is on its 3rd piston and sleeve. and the only original parts on it are the skidplates and chassis plate maybe a few other little things.

i know what you mean you take it out you always break something i just brike a clutch and spur gear
