I now have most of the parts for my winter project of building a Gorilla-Maxx Revo conversion. What I dont already have is on order.

Right now I'm on hold waiting for a few straggling aluminum parts to show up. Once they are here, they have an appointment at the anodizing shop to get a new look. I'm still on the fence about what my theme is going to be. I'm stuck between Red or Black leaning to the stealth look of black.

Ill post pics as they are available.

Wow sounds like a awesome project!

We need pics.. lots of pics! I'll be checking back often!

is this going to be like your boat? If so guys don't hold your breath.

It does sound like fun though Ed.

Once you go BLACK Ed, you will never go back.....;)

Good luck ....pot up the pics.

Looking forward to the progress pics Ed. Sounds like it will be a beauty and a BEAST.

Just hand fitting a few things before I send them to the anodizer

You may want to reconsider the "Hot Green Fluro" annodizing... It may be too much.. You dont want to draw attention from your hot pants.. :)

I think you should go with red and black... maybe throw on some black wheels and a dark toned body with red and silver accents...

I think I have decided to go with black.
There will always be an amount of Blue, silver and red that can't be changed out. I think the Black will make the accent colors pop. My body theme has always been a Florissant orange and should offset rather nice.

I would go for Lime green but Axial has that covered. I can wear my green getup when I go crawling.

I did.
Ill look at them again after I get the truck going.
300.00 goes a long way for other stuff at this point.
I'm still an RPM Junky.

There will always be black in it. Servos, Rx etc. If it's mostly black, it will just get lost. I would go with polishing the aluminum. That, to me, is always beautiful.

8 days since the last post in this thread and no update
:nono:
Whats it looking like now? I am really liking what I see so far!

While I was gone for 4 DAYS all my parts came in.
Just as soon as I can get free for for an hour or so ill go drop all the aluminum off at the anodizer.

My servo came in. I'm going to use the "Baby Lifter"
Hitec 5990TG. Think it will be strong enough?
Torque= 417 oz.-in.

sounds like fun. hope to see more pics soon. :) I'm gunna be doing the samething basicly with a 1:1 car. (hopefully)

No, try and find something a little bit stronger. (j/k) It should be more than stout enough for the job.
