looking for some servos that are in the 60-100 range, requirements are

digital,
metal gears,
Hi torque
fairly Hi speed

I am not sure of other things but if you think of them let me know this is my hang up right now on my savage
(This and actually buying the radio that I want) if any of you want to tell me what digital radios you run that would be apprecitated also
thank you
Nick

I'll fire the first shot by suggesting the Hitec HS-5646MG. It's digital and gives about 170 oz of torque. They also just introduced their digital titanium gear servos and they have them in torques of 111, 181 and 250 oz @ 6.0v. I just don't know how much they cost.

I hear good things about those other high end hitec servos. but they are just too new to me to spend $120 on. I would recommend the airtronics 358, .1sec @ 200oz! I have yet to have a problem with mine and I beat the snot out of it.

for the throttle I have the hs-5925digital ultra speed and its rated at .08 sec with 127.76 oz/in, coreless motor, metal gear, and ball bearings will this be enough torque with the dual disc brakes to put it on its lid?? and can i use two different brands of servos on the same vehicle?

i use the 645 for steering and the 625 for breaks with a 6v pack.. it will turn the wheels setting still on the ground and i can do front flips from speed with the factory disk break.. in fact i thinkt he breaks are to good.. it makes it hard to slow down for a turn without endoing and if i ever have a runaway.. heaven forbid someone is in the way when that fail safe kicks in.. its gonna stop going forward and start flipping..

the hs-5745mg digital is 250oz. torque at 6v, but it is way more than you'll need and will drain the battery faster than lightning hitting the ground.

i have a hs-5945mg digital at 6v it puts out .13sec/181oz. torque and turns my big joes sitting still. a full charge on my 1100mah ni-mh battery and i can bang her out all day. i picked this servo up brand new on flea bay for $68 shipped. highly pleased w/ it as well

any servo over 200oz. of torque will drain the mess out of your battery

futaba s9350
futaba s9351 and 9451 super quick i run the s9450 on throttle/brake

will the hitec 645 work with....

will the hitec 645 work with the reciever that comes with the savage rtr. i need something to stop my truck because the servo that comes with it sucks. no matter how it's adjusted, it takes forever to stop. thanks for the help in advance.

I agree on the 358. I use one on my Maxx, Savage, MGT and S3. Never had a problem either.
