I'm pretty sure that the OS 21 tm is a drop in just like the os 18 tm they discontinued anything else will need the BB kit. some engines dont work with the traxxas kit. look on tower hobbies .com they have a list for all the engines that will fit that they sell anyways
but for 200 your probably better off going with the .26 picco or the RB kit that comes with everything including the mount, header and tune pipe
Picco .26MAX . I just pulled the Picco out of my Cyber Maxx and dropped it the the Revo today because the 3.3 is tired and kept stalling.Wow,practiced for 3 hours at the track and burned up a half gallon of fuel. The triples are now in reach. $225.00 or less shipped off ebay and I picked up the mount Revo today for 20.00 at the LHS.
The OS .21 I am sure is a grat drop in engine also @ $245.00 for the engine and header combo but I would trhink you get more bang for the buck with the Picco.
I would think the OS would give you better MPG over the Picco that would be an advantage for racing.I bought the Picco for my basher but I really liked the extra torque on the track. I can only make 7.5 laps on a tank though.
I am Running stock drivetrain and had NO problems today. That was the first time I ever had that much track time with no problems.
hello, i have a picco 26 max on my revo, I have replaced as much gearing as posible with metel, but a friend of mine also runs the same motor on his revo with all stock gearing, and has had no trouble after running all summer last year.
The guy at my LHS gave me the mount free. He pulled it off an old blown Picco that someone had brought in.
I'm pretty sure that any vehicle built to take the TRX 3.3 will be able to handle the Picco's monster torque. I've yet to have any problems with my gearing; I broke a driveshaft once but I think it's because my slipper clutch was too tight.
