Good deal on 32gb DDR5 RAM

This would’ve been a bad deal a month ago… but, given the AI bubble and what RAM prices look like right now. I Guinea Pig’d myself and gave my credit card info to the Chinese on the TikTok shop. I’ll let everyone know if I got scammed

It’s only 5200mhz and cl40… so not as good as the more typical 5600mhz or 6000mhz. But this same kit is $385 everywhere else. We’ll see if it’s cheapo aliexpress RAM with a Corsair heatsink glued on.

It’s a lot like gambling. Don’t gamble what you’re not willing to lose… In this case, I’ll gamble $140 if it means I can get out of my single channel bottleneck and double my capacity in the process.

I built a rig a couple of years ago, so I'm out of the market, but it's crazy that you have to take a gamble on a sketchy seller for what should have been a simple upgrade after a trip to best buy. Hoping it goes back down for everyone's sake, but from what I'm reading it doesn't look likely.
