John Glenn, the last Living Project Mercury astronaut has passed away at 95. He was the first American to orbit the earth and was the oldest astronaut to go into space. R.I.P. Colonel Glenn.

I was 7 when he went back up. I still remember it reasonably well. We learned all about it at school and I did a project on it. It's cool he made it to 95.

RIP. I have to say, I am saddened that there wasn't some kind of release of the things that they did and saw in space that he couldn't/wouldn't tell while he was alive. Listening to the recordings, it seems that there was more to the stories than was ever told to the public. A hero regardless!
