The silver disk with teeth is the flywheel. This is what the clutch shoes are attached to and him telling you to turn it by hand is his way of trying to get you to overcome the "tightness" of the compression stroke.
Try loosening your glo plug about 1/4 turn. And then give the EZ start a try. The turn on the glo plug will allow some of the air to escape the cylinder of the engine thus easing that compression stroke a little bit.
If you still have a buzz and then nothing, you might check to make sure that the electric motor that makes the EZ start is all the way seated in its case and tightened down. This will ensure that the gear on the end of that motor is turning the rest of the EZ start gears in the case.
The only other thing that I can think of is specific to the new EZ start wand. It has "sensors" that tell it when it thinks an engine is flooded and so forth. Basically a torque sensor that uses that to say the engine is vapor locked or flooded. There is no way to bypass that without taking the wand apart and removing that sensor. So that leaves the checking for a flooded engine. Turn the truck up on its side so that the fuel in the engine can leave via the exhaust port and let it run out the pipe....or remove the glo plug and dump any excess fuel out of that hole. Then replace the glo plug and give it another go.
Just remember one thing, the break in is very very important to your engine...BUT it is also the most frustrating part of getting your RC up and running. You want it to go, and you want it to go NOW...that must be tempered with some patience at this time.
Let me know if this helps.
