It's a Nomadio, gives telemetry on the vehicle and operates in the 2.4gHz band. Hey Truth, you had any problems with getting on anyones channel running Spektrum? I've read where the Nomadio will do that since it jumps channels and the Spektrum just binds and stays on a channel.

no, the 2.4 ghz signals are encoded for each radio, so what happens is there will be a slight delay, but no interference. the delay is not even really noticable when you're driving. 2.4 gig is cool because it would take 80 radios all on at the same time in the same place to cause any noticeable problem. and then, the 81st one just wouldn't work. it wouldn't interfere at all. that sensor is a great radio. the technology is a lot more refined than what's in the spektrum. the spektrum is more of a bridge technology rather than something completely new. now it's not crappy by any means, but the current spektrum will be obsolete pretty soon. btw, most of you guys are nowhere near houston, but if anybody is, that radio is a demo and you can come by Fastrak Hobbies and drive my truck around with it if you want.

EDIT: if you ever want to talk to anyone at Nomadio, they have their own support forum where you can talk straight to the guys who built the Sensor.

Is a tuned pipe the only bolt on for the motor to improve performance? What about a different airfilter/ and or induction tube... or a different header?

Do you mean traxxas should offer those or are you asking what works well?

I've just gotten pretty used to how my machine runs, and would like some more power. I dont really want to make it lighter by removing parts, but wouldent mind buying some performance parts like the pipe (just ordered) and maybe some more stuff.. I just dont know what is available and or what works...

Oh. Wasn't sure what you were trying to get at.

I don't really know of a better header, other than the HPI one that people use instead of the stock one. I don't know if it's for better flow or if because it's more durable. I think they do it because it's more durable. Replacing your stock filter with an 1/8 scale filter would make you have to clean it less often, but I don't know if you will get "more" power because of it.

I'm currently bidding on a trinity pipe at ebay. I'll either have won it tomorrow or I won't. It's supposed to help with performance as well.

will the HPI header fit a .21 size engine ??... or a part # ?? ...

i have the TRINITY PIPE and HEADER on now , it works o.k. but i would like to try something else.....

thanks.

a pipe is usually going to help more than a filter. something else that helps would be a lighter flywheel if you can find one. the stock one is actually pretty light, though.
hey, i know, you could put on one of those supercharger things. that would be COOOOL.

:jk:

You can put a MotorSaver on and use the stock intake tube. You just have to drill out the base of the filter case to 7/8" The stock header sucks, you can shorten it by about 1/8" for some perf gain but it's minimal. However it doesn't solve the problem of them cracking.

I didn't realize there were more people having header issues... When I broke two in a row, I didn't get much of a response on what people were doing to avoid it...

Anyway, here's a link for the HPI one I was told about: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000426515&I=LXFBA0&P=K
Supposedly, if you bend it a little bit it fits perfectly.
