I know there are padddles out there, but I MAY be in the market for some mudders for the spring.. :D

What are some really radical tires? Around the stock size as the Savage X 4.1's. The stockers looks pretty meaty. Mine came with different ones than stock. Hey, I can't afford to mod a REAL 4x4 truck, min as well have a TOY that can tear some wo0t up!! :hehe:

mine.

I LOVE the look of the HPI Pitch Forks.... just nasty. The Losi Zombie Maxx are an excellent aggressive tire as well. Also the Proline Badlands! Lots of choices...Somebody makes a set of Super Swamper replicas as well. I think it is Imex.

HAhahaha!! SUPERswampers!!! :D Awesome!! (I was afraid of getting jumped for this thread.. I come from rough boards.. :( ) Is there any real reason to run beadlocks?? Besides the obvious benefits? Worth the money? Weight disadvantage with metal wheels?

Those wheels are nice! Awesome combo for the tires too!

These are kinda like the superswampers.

You won't blow those tires, unless you try too. The second pic of Bayer's is J-Hawgs..
I always wanted a set of Pitchforks. Just invest in good foams. HPI foams suck.
I can speak for the Zombies, they hook up on everything and last forever. Foams are kinda weak too though.
Avoid Beadlocks. Too much weight and too many damn tiny screws.
Buy a set of good wheels by RPM and glue them up. Light weight and super strong.

^ What I mean by blowout is the Ballooning at high rpm's. As far as the small screw deals, 3 out of 6 of my tiny tiny spur screws backed out.. I started using automotive grade Loctite on stuff for the truck. Not to mention the spur gear walking loose three times lately.

Put a strip of duct tape on the inside of the tire before you glue them on. It will act as a belt, much like the steel belts in your real car, and help the tire keep it's shape without deforming at high speed.

+1. Nylon reinforced shipping tape works well too. It's only 1" wide, so it's fairly easy to work with. I think it's also referred to as strapping tape.

IRS sells 1" tape that is reinforced in 2 directions. It looks like a waffle grid and would work well for this application. I use it to tape down the batts in my touring cars.

I also use the black Gorilla Duct tape to tape the foams on my Baja's. Works really well.
