glowplug ignitor..?

I don't see the problem with the blue wire except that it is too small. I shrink wrapped mine. (about three or four times) It's about the same thickness as an 8 gage amplifier wire now and I tie it nice and close to the engine. The only issue with the blue wire is that if the ez start battery is low it will not ignite the plug even though its still turning over. (I actually investigated it myself during maintenance.)

Heh, thanks again for the Holiday present Zandor - my maxx is running just fine... I've replaced the entire front end and several ball joints and shock caps. I have never NOT used a glow ignitor. I have also never seen the blue wire actually work. Thanks again for getting me up and running!

The problem is exactly what you described, and in many cases is not limited to a weak battery in the EZ start wand. Bottom line is that it is a great idea, but the separate glo-ignitor works much better.
