I went about a month with the original glow plug... today i had to change them twice.... the 1st time i figured it must be time when it wouldnt start... then about 2 tanks later it stalled mid run and i changed it to a new one and started right up... there have been no new changes to the fuel ratio.... it has a nice blue smoke but not too much... sometimes it does have an oily residue out of the exhaust... whats the deal? 2 plugs in 1 day.... and does that mean the other plugs are useless now? how do i know when a glow plug is bad? they are so small i dont really see a color difference between them... and they both came out wet... but thats because i tried to start it for about 5 mins... raw fuel before i pulled it

how do i know when a glow plug is shot?

I've always used an igniter to see if they light up. If they do, then generally speaking, they're probably good

Yeah, a glow igniter is used to start a rig with any starter system other than the ez start.

With the ez start, you can put the blue wire on the glow plug and touch it to the cooling head and crank the engine to see if it glows
