i just got the new savage 4.6 i was wondering what would be a good plug to use right now i am using a r5

Then you would want a "hot" glowplug, Med. length I believe. (someone correct me if I'm wrong, whenever I need plugs, I just tell the lhs what I have, and they hand them over, and I don't pay much attention to what they are. lol. I've been in RC for over 3 years, and I'm still not sure what size glowplugs my RC's use...)

i believe you are right. 20% use a hot plug. 30% step down to a colder plug.

I run a hot plug with 30% some times(when I'm beat for cash) and All I do it rich it up more...

I have the same problem, with the plug on my savage 25, my LHS is useless, so I buy all parts from the internet, I am running 20% nitro, I went to tower hobbies.com and looked and glow plugs but none of them specify to be used in a savage. So which plug would you guys recommend for just general operation. I see they have xtra long reach plugs and different temps, what is a good all around plug for a savage 25??

there are several all around good plugs, try OS A3 or A8 with 20 %
