Hi. I'm new to the whole T-maxx world.. The dvd i got with my new 2.5 Maxx says to use only traxxas parts. My local hobby shop where i purchased truck dosent carry traxxas glow plugs..
Is there some other kind of plug all u tmaxxers use..i can't believe the t maxx will only run right on their own plug.. Sounds like a marketing thing to me..Any help would be appreciated...Thanks

Dan from Indiana,

Indeed it is a marketing thing, when I used to have a t-maxx I just used OS glow plugs and never had a single problem.

I'd be surprised your if your local hobby shop doesn't carry OS plugs.

They just want to make more money:mad:

I used Mc56's

Thanks guys for the quick post..
On that o s plug what number do i use a # 8 or something else?
Like i said this is my first nitro machine and I'm in the dark when it comes to things...

try os a3 plugs. they seem to work in alot of nitro motors i have used

They just want money. The guy at my LHS said that Traxxas buys Thunderbolt glow plugs then repackages them as there own and sell them for less. Is that rue or not i dont know but i know that you dont just need to use traxxas glow plugs.
