You could take the blue and yellow wires off, by un hooking them in the housing they are in. Just need some pliers to push the ends together and they should come out.
 
I just unplugged the blue wire and left it alone. If you cut it there is still bare wire showing. If you do cut it the wrap in electrical tape.
