My glow plug wire dosen't heat the glow plug?
when the ez start is going it has the motor light on but not the glow plug light, i've checked the glow plug and it's fine, i have to start it with my glowstarter off my other truck now.
the wire seems to be okay. i'm just not sure wot else to check?

Have u checked the connector that goes on the glow plug? Try changing it.

get get a regular glow charger its heats it alot better than the wire and works much better i got sick of the wire so i snipped it off and use a hand held rechargable igniter

Ok calm down.. I had a similar prob on my maxx. One problem could be the housing may be out of shape. Another may be the pin on either the ez start or the housing on the mount. Mine was actually bent ount of shape. These don't seem to hold up very well. As convenient as the Ez start is I keep a glow ignitor stick handy. I also have notise that you can damage the wire by removing it . check your wire for continuity with a voltmeter. This sounds like an easy connection problem.

In the long run, you will be better off getting a separate glo-ignitor. Though convenient, the "blue wire" or ignitor wire on the EZ Start system is prone to breakage and malfunction. You could repair it, as Jon2 suggests. Or you could just forget about it and get a separate glo-ignitor. I personally think you will be happier with the separate glo-ignitor.

Agreed. Just hand glow start it. If you dont want to do that then go out and by a new plug wire. Mine quit on me when one of the wires in it snapped... boo lol, Just make sure next time if you decide to get a new wire to put heat shrink on it so it wont crack. Later

Also I am not sure how much or who there made by but in the back of Rc Car Action in the ads theres a new wire kit for the maxx 2.5. Its like all rubber and never quits or falls out. Check it out. It possibly is at acehardware.com. -CoLtOn
