Ok so I was driving my LST1 today, and it seemed to be running good, there was a good trail of smoke behind the truck at full throttle, and it would take off as soon as I pulled the trigger. But one problem was that only a little distance away, the truck didn't seem to respond to my controller that well. Like I would give it WOT and it would jerk. But the real problem is that the truck suddenly shut down and I couldnt restart it; when I took out the plug it was dark and the coil was crushed inward. Could anyone help?

It sounds like the LSN is fine, but the HSN needs to be leaned out. You're flooding it at full throttle.

Too lean causes the coil to get a white ashen look.

But the plug body turns brown. So it depends on which part of the plug he's talking about. You very rarely crush a plug running it rich. Every time I have seen it was due to a lean condition. He said the truck was jerking at WOT, that is a lean symptom as well.

Haha, sounds as if everyone replying is giving a diffrent response.. but yeah, the WOT problem only happens when its a fair distance away; when it's close to me I can go WOT fine, but futher away it jerks. The main issue is the plug.. its really dark inside the coil area and the coil is pressed back into its self..

Now it's sounding like a range problem with your radio or receiver. Possibly the throttle servo is twitching at that distance. Try replacing or recharging all the batteries and see how it behaves.
And, true, running to lean will cave in the filament. Richen the HSN just slightly, and make several test runs to see if it corrects the problem. Keep an eye on your temps.

We are both right, I was talking about the plug body not the coil. I think you have a rx/tx issue as well.
Also as the engine wears out the piston can be allowed to come up too far, distorting the plug. Sloopy main bearings and worn out rods will crush a plug in a split second. If your engine is older than 2 gallons, it's a good idea to check the internals.

Well I bought the truck second hand, and the guy just put in a new piston/sleeve so I don't think its an internal issue, i'll richen it up to see how it goes. And also; yeah I think the reason for the twitching is my receiver batteries.
