I got my savage in yesterday and i'm still getting the same glitchy problems that i had with the tmaxx. I am using a futaba 3PM tx and a novak xxl rcvr with the crytals that came with the futaba. I have a 5 cell 2100 hump pack on the rcvr and i am using AA for thr tx. It doesn't make any sense though. I can drive for a few minutes and it fine but say i am running it around and then just get off the throttle. sometimes it will lurch a few more times and i hit the brake and it stops. I was letting it wam up today and the wheels jerked to the right. the controller was on the ground next to me. I don't have an antennae tube but i ran my ant. through some fuel tubing and tied it off to the cage. any idea?

(i have tried 2 rx's and 2 tx's)

after reading a little i am gonna try to coil the wires and route everything nice and neat. man this sucks

Hey Kurt,

I know the savage didn't have that glitching with my radio set up. I use a XS3 and have used the RS300 and the Novak XXL like yours.

i need to try a new set of crystals. Thats the only thing i haven't swapped out yet. (FYI, i used the other controller as well)

UPDATE:

Its fixed now.

The problem was with the exhaust pipe tapping and rubbing on the TVP and cage. I got some muffler wrap at advance and put it on to eliminate the metal to metal contact. ZERO glitches now.

As soon as i got done it started raining so now i'm just waiting for it to stop so i can go tear it up again.

That’s good to hear, may I ask what muffler wrap is? As I think I am going to need some since my pipe vibrates against the cage on my savage and I get a glitch or two out of it every time the pipe slides too close to the cage.

i had the same problem w/ my savage before...for me it was the crystals. Just swapped them out w/ a set of, i think zip zap crystals...lol they worked though!
