Hi guys,

I live in australia, and I'm keep to get started and race offroad buggy's.

After along time now, proberly about a year, I've decided to pull out my old Kyosho Buggy and do some newbie races with it. (Its proberly 4-5 years old)

Now most clubs say you need some stuff to race, multiple crystals and other things, I've only got a stock radio and am looking to expand. Can you guys point me in the right direction and help me with crystal chips ect ect?

I have a Kyosho Inferno MP 7.5 Sports, but i got it about 5 years ago, I'm guessing it could even be 8 years...

I figured it would need an upgrade, we are on an 3 acre block and within 2 acres it looses signal and drives full throttle into a fence, or next doors dam...

So for a 2.4ghz radio, What will I require for a race meeting? Do they clash like the frequency crystals do? Also ill proberly need a transponder, could you suggest a whole kit (Like the Controller, receiver, servo if needed?) Or individual parts I should get, I was going to budget but I need an idea on some decent quality parts not just chinese crap, if you know what i mean :P

The 2.4ghz lock on to there own signal you don't have the same issues as crystals like interferance. As far as brand I'm strictly a futaba guy but if money is an issue spectrum would be a good second choice.:D

I see, Many people run spectrum down here.

Thanks for all your help!

Also that means i would need to buy a receive to match the controller?
What do i need?

I see, Maybe I should get the servo too, since mine are fairly old and I'm unsure how sound they will be after so long
