Just wondering if there is a more durable body made for my Maxx 2.5. I just bought the grave robber body;painted it all pretty, and it's already getting banged up! Would a roll bar help? I like car bodies more so than trucks.Any links would be cool. Thanks guys!

A role bar would be good idea but it's not going to do much to help the body. Consider the body one of the many consumables in this hobby. Drive it 'til you break it.

I use a Proline Ford Bronco body and its awesome, they are very durable lexan, and hold the shape very well. But you will always bang up the body! If you get a proline body, you wont need a roll bar.

I've got the Bronco body as well. I've rolled the truck a few times on it, and I'm sure I have also landed it on its top with that body on. It has held up well for me so far, but I usually put the stock body on for hardcore bashing.

Part of the hobby is bashing things like bodies. Nothing beats battle scars on your rigs. Proline makes some of the toughest bodies on the market.

I thought this topic was going to be about something totally different...

Oh, and to stay on topic, I cracked my desert rat body in three places the first time I ran with it on.

Just think of the body as a "consumable protector" for the expensive parts of the truck underneath. lol Actually though, I think a lot of guys have multiple bodies: a shelf body for display, a somewhat good body for general bashing and a beat em up, I gonna practice my flips off the ramp kind of body. :D As your bodies wear out you can down cycle them through these phases.

I've gone through 3 bodies in just under 6 months . I dont mind tho I'm surprised nobodys made i thin alu one yet . Mind you that would probably be way too diff .

considering a roll cage is under the body, pushing on it, ur body's gonna get beat up...i use lexan bodies reinforced with alum mounted on the inside of the body in case of a rollover..

i bash jus like anyother basher but if u dont have tools or kno how to metalwork jus invest in a decent rollbar >>must have

Agreed .

metal bodies for an rc are just a bad idea. The lexan can flex, as the metal would just bend and break.
