where did you get it? I've been looking for one myself!! what did you pay?

I bought an old used Savage and the wasp was in it, I'm not really selling bro it has issues. It gets up to temp and won't run as if it's worn out but it has a lot of compression...I tried to re pinch and engine in the oven using a hose clamp years ago and it did the same thing, thats what it reminds me of.

They can still be found new but for that price you can pick up an LRP.

Oh no the Savage isn't going anywhere! When I bought it I expected to buy an engine for it and it looks like that what i'll have to do.

I think they make an electric conversion for you Savage. It sounds like it would be a lot easier than trying to tune that Wasp.

wow.. smaxxin is slow today..

i would like to buy a savage similar to yours... I would like to know how much you spent on it, so i know how much they are going for, for a similar rig. also where did you get it?? I've had a WTB request up for a while now with few replies.

i dont want to buy yours, i just want to know where you got the deal, and how much you spent.

I'm on vacation this week and so is my brain :D I bought it on ebay for $155.00. The next day I saw an old SS go for $140.00, I almost bought that one too!

Buy the time I convert it and buy batteries for it I could buy a new Savage thats easy to tune ans still saave money....And it still wouldn't have that sound!

I gave it a heart transplant! OS .30 that has been used and abused but I got it running. For what I paid it's worth rebuilding in the near future.

About 150 seems to be the going price for a Savage on eBay.
For that price expect to be changing out the engine and diffs.

I've also gotten lucky and found an updated 21/25 with Losi shocks and a Collari 32 for under $250. It only needed new diffs - although I went ahead and converted it to an XL for grins and giggles.

I resurrected the old Defender body and strapped on different tires, I need to stiffen the shocks a little and it will be ready for take off!

you will love that OS.30 Its not an extremely quick revving engine but its got some torque.

here are some OLD videos of mine. ran outta nitro at the end of the wet cement one so it sounds lean.

and my old electric one. lol
