Hey all,

Been a long time since I have been into nitro rc. Well only a couple of years. Newayz what is the latest and greatest in Offroad Nitro R/C. Lookin for a basher.

The newest savage out there is the Savage X 4.6 RTR. Its the savage X with a .28 version of the F4.1 that came in the old X. Its also got a few other goodies like dual brakes. If you don't know about the Savage X, its the update to the old savage. It has lower CG TVPs, better/easier gearboxes, a better/easier radio box, and some other cool stuff.

For the Revo theres the Revo 3.3. Its basically a Revo 2.5 with a stretched chassis and a .20/3.3cc version of the 2.5R(2.5cc) engine.

Those are the two most popular MTs out there right now. Theres also updated versions of the MGT, theres now an LST2, and a X SS kit version of the Savage. Theres lots of great new engines out, like the Picco .28, O.S. .30 and many others.

Thx AC, I will be checking them out. Last savage I had was a 21 with a pico 26. Been a lil while.

Yea the Savage X 4.6 RTR is quite a lot improved over the original .21 version.

Idk if you've seen the Revo, but its a pretty nice truck, very different design than any other truck, and even though its traxxas, its a durable truck that handles quite well.

you wanna bash? Truggies make for great bashers. they are lighter and more agile than monster trucks.

Ya know what bro, I am not sure about a truggie. I just know I will be doing a little research before I make the plunge again. I remember how expensive this hobby is. Also how fun it is. I tend to go nuts. I might be picking up a buggy of some sort as well.

yeh i would defo go 4 the Savage X! gr8 bashing truck! If you think your up for it you might also want 2 consider the Savage X SS, It comes with few upgraded parts and a bigger engine, but it is not R2R and would need assembling. But i think that that is half the fun!:D

I am definitely looking at the savage xss. I am also considering a truggy. I don't mind assembly at all. I logged into my tower wishlist and forgot about a whole bunch of crap I needed for my on road so I bought all that, tires, rims Low CG tank, Rpm Bumper. Stupid tower wish list.

If you are going for a buggy, check out the Baja 5b! I know it isn't nitro, but it is a heck of a lot of fun! Very durable as well!
